Remote Control For Panasonic SA-BTX68 SA-BTT750 SA-BT337 DVD Home Theater System

Panasonic also touts the unit as being Energy Star compliant and says the unit uses less power due to its proprietary UniPhier LSI circuitry, which integrates all video processing onto a single chip. Panasonic today announced the debut of their first 2.1 channel Blu-ray Disc home theater system, the SC-BTX70. The SC-BTX70 features a compact form factor and slim design, which Panasonic is touting as being the perfect compliment to flat panel televisions. Narrow your search in the Professionals section of the website to Gunzenhausen, Bavaria, Germany home media designers and home automation installers.

The front-mounted flaps feel a little plasticky to the touch but the middle one conceals some exciting stuff, namely an iPod dock and card slot that supports regular SD and SDHC cards. The wall-mountable front/centre speakers and Kelton subwoofer look unremarkable but feel chunky and robustly built. This Home Cinema System allows you to watch 2D Blu-ray Discs in full high definition and can also playback incredible 3D Blu-rays. High sound quality further boosts the enjoyment of high definition movies.

Among the other sockets are HDMI, Component and Composite video outputs and an input for the FM radio tuner. Two digital optical inputs will take digital audio from other sources and Panasonic's Viera Cast feature allows access to some online content via ethernet.

The depth, solidity and unadulterated clarity of the picture is a wonder to behold, making good quality Blu-ray transfers like The Dark Knight or Mamma Mia! The features don’t stop there – there’s a range of sound modes to play with and the system is equipped with the superb UniPhier chip, which uses P4HD processing to pull all the picture strings. And because the system’s Blu-ray deck is a fully-fledged Profile 2.0 affair, you’ll also find an Ethernet port on the back that lets you download bonus movie content, as well as view YouTube clips and Google Picasa photos through the Viera Cast web portal. On the downside, you have to load up an SD card to store BD Live downloads as there’s no built-in memory. If you’re repulsed by the sight of cables then you can even install an optional wireless kit (SH-FX70), which sends surround information wirelessly to a receiver at the back of the room, which in turn is connected to the rear speakers.

Panasonic SC-BT100 Blu-ray Home Cinema System Review

Each speaker comes in three parts and when assembled stands just over a metre high. Build quality is underwhelming – the speakers feel hollow and unsubstantial plus the springclip terminals on the back are fiddly, but from a distance they look attractive enough. Panasonic was one of the first companies to launch an all-in-one Blu-ray home cinema system in the UK with last year’s SC-BT100, a typically feature-rich 3.1-channel bundle with powerful but flawed sound quality and awesome hi-def pictures. Some of these Bavaria professionals work entirely on their own, while others work with subcontractors to get the job done. It’s a tad flabby at times, and could do with a bit more punch and speed for sudden thumps, but on the whole it does a decent job. The system decodes Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS HD, plus regular Dolby Digital and DTS. Like any system worth its salt, there’s a wide range of sound settings, including Dolby Pro Logic II Movie and Music, S. Surround or you can leave it up to the system to decide according to the type of material. There’s also a range of EQ settings , Centre Focus, which re-directs dialogue to make it appear to emanate from the TV, and Whisper-mode Surround for late-night listening.

These front-mounted sockets include an SD card slot, a USB port, an input for the supplied setup microphone and a headphones jack, and you’ll also find a source select button and a pair of buttons for radio tuning and chapter skipping. But the most compelling feature on the front is a hidden iPod dock, which can be pulled out when required. With an iPod attached, you can browse lists onscreen as well as view videos and photos. In addition to these advanced functions, Panasonic took the environment into full consideration in designing the SC-BTX70. It is Energy Star qualified, and its UniPhier LSI integrates all video signal processing circuits onto a single chip, which lowers power consumption and reduces the number of components.

International shipment of items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges. It’s great to see that the BT100 supports a healthy range of compressed AV formats, too, including MP3, JPEG and DivX, plus AVCHD video captured on a compatible HD camcorder can also be played via the SD card slot or from recordable DVDs. The rear panel sadly lacks HDMI inputs but there are two optical digital inputs and an analogue stereo input to cover your other equipment.

The SC-BT205 uses a set-top style control unit, which combines a Blu-ray/DVD/CD player with a 1,000W /470W multichannel digital amplifier, and it doesn’t strive for wafer-thin sexiness – it’s portly and proud. The unit is fitted with Panasonic’s customary mirrored fascia, a bit of glitzy eye-candy that makes up for the flimsy plastic flap below, which covers a set of inputs and a few buttons.

The two front speakers, which come with a new top mounted speaker design that Panasonic claims expands the listening area, are constructed with rigid, low-density bamboo cones. Panasonic has also provided a Kelton-type subwoofer for deep, reverberating bass. Also featured in the system is Panasonic’s 96-kHz Surround Re-master function to enhance the sound quality of CDs and other sources and raise the quality of the multi-channel audio data on Blu-ray Discs and DVDs to produce highly realistic sounds. We’re impressed by the amount of power on tap , which allows the front and centre speakers to get nice and loud while maintaining an element of control. And although the subwoofer’s bass output is satisfyingly fulsome, it can get a bit boomy at loud volumes so it pays to keep the level set fairly low if you don’t want it to overpower the other speakers.

The prototype vehicle from Sengenthal, which has already completed more than 83,000 km on the German test track, runs recently on the 3.5 km long demonstration track in Chengdu for partial commissioning. Until then, the final assembly steps on the track and functional tests for smooth operation will be completed. In cooperation with its partner Xinzhu, the company will focus on further projects in China in the future and set new standards in Chinese local transport with the TSB.

(Pocket-lint) - History tells us that one-box home cinema bundles rarely match the quality of a decent separates system, but for sheer convenience they simply can’t be beaten. And when it comes to Blu-ray, convenience and set-up simplicity are even more vital, given the potentially brain-frazzling compatibility issues surrounding Blu-ray’s HD audio formats. You’d feel pretty short-changed these days if you bought a home cinema system that didn’t play all the main digital media formats, and while the BT205 won’t let you down, it’s not as obliging as it could be. It accepts DivX , JPEG and MP3 from DVD, CD and USB, but ask it to play WMA, WMV or DivX HD you’d have more luck getting John Prescott to leave an all-you-can-eat buffet. For the front and surround speakers, Panasonic has opted for slim tallboy columns that boast 65mm cones made from rigid, low-density bamboo, which has a few sonic advantages over regular cones.

So it’s with that in mind that we say hello to the SC-BT205, one of Panasonic’s latest all-in-one Blu-ray home cinema systems. It comes with a combined Blu-ray player/receiver unit, which serves up 1000W of audio power as well as decoding Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio, plus you get a set of four tallboy speakers, a centre speaker and a passive Kelton subwoofer. Bamboo Cone Speaker is a rigid, low-density bamboo material used in the front and centre speaker cones helps achieve a clean, responsive sound. Vocals are pure and clear, and dialogue is crisp and easy to understand.

The company has followed it up this year with the SC-BT205, a full 5.1 system equipped with all the tasty features found on Panasonic’s latest standalone players, the DMP-BD60 and BD80. It’s one of three new Blu-ray systems in the current range – the others are the SC-BT200, which features bookshelf-style speakers, and the SC-BTX70, a style-led 2.1-channel system with a new vertical-standing main unit. The use of bamboo in the woofer and tweeter speaker cones allows Panasonic to ‘panda’ to the needs of audiophiles with a responsive, detailed sound that suits Blu-ray’s high-resolution audio formats. Meanwhile the passive Kelton subwoofer features two internal chambers, with the front chamber acting as a filter that reduces unwanted noise. Style conscious consumers can rest assured that the SC-BT100’s main unit is attractive, sporting an all-black finish with some tasteful green lights and flashes of silver.

High-quality 5.1-channel sound provides robust bass that fills even large listening spaces, and faithful ambience with fine, truly lifelike acoustic nuances. Sound quality is excellent by one-box standards and pictures are blessed with the same ultra-sharp quality that makes Panasonic’s standalone players so special. When you take this fine performance and extensive feature list into account then that price tag seems fairly reasonable – although at this price we would have expected better build quality and support for DivX HD and WMA. There’s no denying the sheer quality of the SC-BT100, which dazzles with a superb feature list, sublime hi-def picture quality and a satisfying sound performance. On the downside, it’s a shame that it’s not a 5.1 system as standard, as having to fork out for extra wireless speakers and the relevant gear is a bit rich given the already high price. Also, the lack of BD Live as found on the DMP-BD50 is a minor disappointment, but these minor gripes aside this is yet another killer proposition from Panasonic.
